Peep Family Sessions

What are Peep sessions and how do I find out where I can attend them?

Peep sessions take place at some local authority early learning and childcare settings. Please contact your child’s setting to find out if they deliver Peep sessions. Please also see below the link to support for families on the City of Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê×ÊÁÏÍø Website for more information on Peep delivery in your local area:

Peep sessions are for parents and carers and their children from birth to five years old.  Parents are children’s most important role model. Children learn most at home during their early years through everyday activities and play.  You can make a real difference and support your child’s brain development and learning by talking, playing, singing and sharing books together.

Parents and carers and their children attend Peep sessions together. It’s an opportunity to meet other parents with children of a similar age, to share ideas and have fun. At Peep session, ideas are shared about how to promote your child’s learning and development through everyday activities that you do at home and in the community.

Why join a Peep group?

Independent research findings by Universities of Oxford, Queens Belfast and Warwick show that Peep:

  • Helps parents become more aware of their children’s development and how to foster it.
  • Helps children develop good foundations for literacy, language and strong self-esteem.
