Libraries for elderly, housebound or disabled readers

We can help if you find it hard to get to the library.

Contact your local library to use the services below

Library Link

Library Link is a free bus service for anyone who has difficulty getting to the library because of

  • age
  • disability
  • ill health.

Trained staff and Royal Voluntary Service volunteers help you on and off the minibus.

You can choose your books and enjoy a coffee and a chat before being taken home again.

Library Link members don't pay library charges or fines.

Home delivery

The Royal Voluntary Service also helps us deliver books to housebound readers. They have a range of volunteering opportunities available.

Home delivery service members don't pay library charges or fines.

Care home and sheltered housing library service

The mobile library service regularly visits care homes, retirement flats and sheltered housing complexes.

Check our care home library service directory to find out when the mobile service comes to your location.

Mobile library

We also run a fortnightly mobile library route which stops at various locations across Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê×ÊÁÏÍø.

If you would like to suggest a mobile library stop, please get in touch.
